Yahk Mountain Outfitters is a small family run business. We only take a minimum amount of clients a year to try and maximize the quality of the animals that we harvest. We hunt out of our camp located on Fish Lake. The camp consists of a main lodge, 4 hunter cabins, and a bath house with hot showers and flushing toilets. 4x4 and hiking are the main transportation in the area and horses are used to pack if needed. The terrain is not real steep which allows for transportation around the area easier. We use spot and stock, calling and blinds to get up close and personal with the animals. Hunting regulations allow only trophy Elk and Mule Deer to be harvested (6 point or better for Elk and 4 point or better for Mule Deer). Our moose are on a Limited Entry Hunting system and we are given a limited number of tags. We have good numbers of Whitetail that allow any buck to be taken. We also have a good number of predators in the area this allows for some of the best Cougar, Bobcat, Lynx, Wolf, and Black Bear hunting in the area.
